I want to be an actor Background information: Students: 42 Middle School Students, Grade 1 Lesson duration: 45 minutes Teaching material: PEP edition, 七年级下册 Teaching Objectives: By the end of the lesson,students should be able to : 1.Say the names of jobs in English. 2.Ask and answer questions about one’s jobs. 3.Use interview strategies to find out information and take notes. 4.Present the results to other students. Teaching contents: 1.Vocabulary of jobs 2.What does your father or mother do? He is a farmer. Teaching aids: blackboard, chalk, PPT, notebooks, tapes. Type of lesson: vocabulary, speaking. Teaching procedures: Step 1. Warming up (8 minutes) ① Listen a song: “What do you do?” ② Students write the names of jobs that they listen or know. ③ Students share their words with other three students of group four. ④ Teacher makes a summary, and writes down the words on blackboard. Step 2. Presentation (15 minutes) ① Use pictures to introduce new words. Use the structure: What do/does you/her do? I’m/She is a/an ... ② Students learn to say the words with the help of pictures of PPT. ③ Pair work. One does action, the other guesses the name of the job. ④ Ask two pairs to present the result. Step 3. Practice (10 minutes)

Use what is learned to do an interview. ① Group work. Each group with four students. ② Ask volunteers to present the result. Step 4. More practice (9 minutes) ① Play a game. Divide the Students into 6 groups, one group has 7 students, then order them from one to seven. Teacher gives each number 1 a picture, number 1 tells number 2 what does the person do,etc. Teacher demonstrates first. ② The winner is the group who gets the last answer firstly and rightly. ③ Ask number 7 of each group to say the names of the jobs and check in.
